Teach the method.
Do not teach the answer.
A mentorship pathway should increase experimental independence, not manufacture agreement. Each stage has a concrete output and a gate; null results, contradictions, and inability to compare are valid endpoints.
Rehearse
Walk through materials, controls, measurements, privacy, failure limits, and stopping rules with a reviewer.

Replicate
Run independently. Preserve timestamps, settings, raw observations, deviations, nulls, and failures.

Review
Compare envelopes without averaging away instrument, site, frame, or method differences.

- A relation, conflict branch, or explicit non-comparability finding.

- A steward can trace every conclusion to source records.
Mentor
Help another person repeat the process while preserving their independent authorship and dissent.
